Nexon’s blockchain arm is announcing an innovative token that can boost the engagement of users and raise the ecosystem within its game of Web 3.
South Korean video game Nexon’s cryptocurrency affiliate NEXPACE has launched its own cryptocurrency that will benefit players, increase their participation, and accelerate the development of its ecosystem within its online game known as MapleStory Universe.
In a Medium announcement on August. 27th, NEXPACE stated that the NXPC token was designed to let players and members of the community directly contribute to game material production, a job normally reserved for game designers.
MapleStory Universe is a Web3 spin-off of Nexon’s 2002 2-D game MapleStory. It was built using the Avalanche blockchain and has non-fungible tokens as its heart. The NXPC token will allow players to interact with the game’s objects, encouraging a “natural flow of community-driven growth,” Nexon said. Although specifics were not revealed, it is anticipated that NXPC will be built upon the Avalanche blockchain, which is in keeping with the game’s.
